A biography is something written about the life of a person. Notable events, dates, and work is often included in a biography, and about the a person’s life.

Biographies shed critical light on historical facts in an individually relevant way, and can be used to understand what kinds of developments an individual has made, and what kind of impact these changes might have had, especially depending also on historical and biographical context.
